During the season opener on Saturday, September 19, ROTC participated in many activities. Before the game began, The Colonel's Battalion had a tailgate to include cadets, cadre, and alumni. Games such as corn hole, a hotdog eating contest, a basketball shooting contest, and an assortment of card games were played. Food was also cooked for all who visited the tailgate.

Following the tailgate the Battalion headed into the game to support the football team. The Pershing Rifles kicked off the game with an outstanding exhibition color guard. Following this the Raider Team took their place on the hill and the Cannon Detail posted as well. All in all, EKU ROTC provided support for the team as well as promoting our image on campus.
